for building performance

With over four decades of experience, our President, Keith Winn, is no stranger to the evolution of sustainable design strategies. His knowledge and passion for the industry has been integral to our approach to the work we do. Keith was a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and was an active participant in the development of LEED standards and served on several USGBC committees including his role as Vice-Chair of the LEED Steering Committee.

We create places where all species can flourish, including our own

Constructed in 1917, 502 Second Street underwent extensive renovations to serve as our office, and more importantly, a catalyst for sustainable and restorative development in the area. The nearly 4,000 square foot LEED Platinum building now uses 60 percent less energy than a typical office building, 45% less water than the expected baseline, uses a typical market rate of $125 per gross square foot, has zero stormwater discharge, and provides a native landscape habitat for a wide variety of birds and insects.
