Enterprise Green Communities

834 Lake Drive Apartments is located right in the center of the growing and vibrant East Hills neighborhood. This residence was reconstructed in the former location of the 90-year old Bethel Pentecostal Church as an Enterprise Green Communities certified building. Enterprise Green Communities’ (EGC) mission is to create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. EGC’s certification protocol is the only national framework for building and preserving green affordable housing.

EGC certification identifies buildings that have taken a leadership role in implementing strategies to help protect the health of the residents and preserves natural resources. An enhanced building envelope and energy saving systems and appliances mean the residents save on their monthly utility bills. The established neighborhood near mass transit with a variety of services allow the residents to walk or bus to daily amenities, which makes for healthier bodies and less impact on the environment.
